Happy Birthday

Hello creative friends.  It is a beautiful day in New York.  Blue sky,  no humidity and  the temperature is in the 70's.  I have the windows open and a delightful breeze is going through the house.  I want to soak it in before it gets hot again!
I have a card today for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #9, and also for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge/Anything Goes.  Great colors that say summer!  It makes me want to go to the beach!

Hello

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  I am loving it!  Blue sky and pretty flowers.  Not to mention the hope of fresh tomatoes soon!  What's not to love!  My card today is for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #8 Summertime Fun, and the Simon Says Summer Sunshine Challenge. Lawn Fawn is becoming one of my favorite stamp companies.  They are so cheerful and happy!  And of course I had to use my all time favorite Hero Arts stamp,  Clouds.  It always says summer to me.

I Love You Sew Much

Wow, it has been ages since I posted on my blog.  When Spring comes and the weather is beautiful, I spend most of my time in the garden.  I am continuing with sewing and have a new project to share.  With this dress, I used a serger for the first time.  I have always wanted one.  It was a bit of a learning curve, but I think I got it!  I don't know if you can see the rolled hem on the dress and sleeves, but this was done on the serger.  So cool!

Ironically, I was a winner on the Lawn Fawn Blog last week and won this adorable stamp set, Sewn With Love.  Of course I had to make a sewing themed card!  Such sweet sewing images.  I love them, and they are "sew" much fun to color.

I am entering my card in the 4th Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, Black/White and bright.

Supplies:
Paper:  HA card, Neenah and scraps
Ink:  MFT and Versafine
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn
Dies:  Lawn Fawn and YNS
Other:  Copic markers and HA black pearls

Thanks for stopping by!

Rosie Romper

Hello friends.  As I mentioned in my last post, and boy it has been a while, I am taking a class in doll clothes design.  I just finished sewing this cute romper for an 18 inch doll.  The pattern is from PixieFaire. This is of course, not my own design, but I am learning a bunch from this class.  It is fun to be sewing again.  I am not sure where this adventure will take me.  Next month we start the actual pattern construction.  I have been busy, and I must apologize for not visiting all my favorite blogs.  I will try to catch up soon.

Photography is a bit different from cards so this too is a learning experience for me.

Happy New Year

Please forgive me if I have not visited your blogs lately.  I am going to grab a cup of coffee and check them out now.  I have enrolled in a doll clothes design class at Pixie Faire.  Some of you may know that sewing is another passion of mine, and I need a little break from paper crafting. I am, of course, not giving up the wonderful joy of card making, and will have to enter a challenge or two when I am inspired.  I just have so many creative interests, and it is inspiring to mix things up.  I hope to eventually design some clothes for 18 inch dolls.  Just for fun.  I own a few American Girl dolls of my own. I am just a big kid at heart.  Some of you may remember this post of mine a while back:  My Love of Dolls and well, I am at it again!
