Happy New Year

Please forgive me if I have not visited your blogs lately.  I am going to grab a cup of coffee and check them out now.  I have enrolled in a doll clothes design class at Pixie Faire.  Some of you may know that sewing is another passion of mine, and I need a little break from paper crafting. I am, of course, not giving up the wonderful joy of card making, and will have to enter a challenge or two when I am inspired.  I just have so many creative interests, and it is inspiring to mix things up.  I hope to eventually design some clothes for 18 inch dolls.  Just for fun.  I own a few American Girl dolls of my own. I am just a big kid at heart.  Some of you may remember this post of mine a while back:  My Love of Dolls and well, I am at it again!

Merry Christmas

I have been busy with baking, wrapping, decorating and such that I wasn't sure I would complete this card by the deadline.  My card is for the PTI December Create Along With Us Challenge.  I was inspired by this adorable card from Kay Miller, and the sweet Dress Up Dolls  by Betsy Veldman.

I have several of the Dress Up Dolls and have wanted to make a card using these sweet images for some time.  I think I need the Valentine set and that cute dog!  I used some older PTI patterned paper from my stash and the classic Mat Stack 3 dies.

Supplies:
Paper:  Neenah, Kraft and PTI
Ink:  MFT, Versafine, Versamark and Distress ink on the sides of the frame
Stamps:  PTI Dress Up Dolls Basic and Elves and HA
Dies:  PTI ans SSS
Other:  White embossing powder, Prismacolor pencils, NUVO Crystal drops and YNS Gum Drops

Warm Winter Wishes

My card today is for the current Lawnscaping Challenge #143.  The theme is "Let it Snow."

I used the sweet "Winter Fox."  It was a gift from a friend years ago,  and of course it now has special meaning.  I used Bazzill paper to simulate the snow and added glossy accents to the cup for a bit of shine.

Snow Fun

Hello creative friends!  It is very cold here in upstate NY.  A fitting day to work on more Christmas cards!  I have a card for the YNS Sketch Challenge 53.  I had to use cute little "Waddles!", and I also used a new die from YNS, "Snowfall Panel."  It will be a holiday favorite of mine for a long time.

Merry and Bright

I have a card today for the YNS Color Challenge #53.  I am also working on a card for the YNS Sketch Challenge too.  I plan to post it later.  Here is their color inspiration.  Just beautiful!

And here is my card...

I didn't use the pale green and the card base is a pale grey.  So I think using 4 of the 5 colors works.

Supplies:
Paper:  Inchie Arts and scraps
Ink:  Versafine
Stamps:  YNS Waddles Snow Fun for the sentiment
Dies:  YNS

'Tis the Season to be Merry

Hello friends!  It is a gorgeous and unusually warm day here in the Hudson Valley.  I am going to the city to celebrate Thanksgiving with my daughter next week, and of course the forecast is for colder weather and possible rain or snow.  I can't catch a break.  I am taking the bus and hopefully it will not be too bad.  I am making cards and playing Christmas music, and getting in the mood for sure.

I have a card today for the current SSS Flickr Challenge #58.  It is all about coloring, and I love to color.  I had to use  my new SSS set, Christmas Toys.  This set has so many adorable images, but this time I controlled my urge to use them all at once.  With images this small, I usually use Prismacolor pencils but I wanted brighter color so I went with Copics. The back ground is a new stamp from SSS, Gingham.  A new favorite of mine!

Supplies:
Paper: Kraft cad from HA, Neenah and Bazzill
Ink:  MFT, SSS and Versafine
Stamps:  SSS, Christmas Toys
Dies:   SSS Christmas Toys coordinating dies, SSS borders and stitched tag
Other:  Lawn Fawn twine and clothespin from Michaels
