Holiday Tweets

Hello friends.  I have another Christmas card to share today.  I am so behind in making holiday cards.   I need to get busy.  My card is for the YNS Sketch Challenge #50.  I think I need to use any challenge I enter for making holiday cards.

I used these adorable Word Critters, Winter Birds.  The patterned paper was in my stash and I have no idea what company it is from.  I think I am in love with these Nuvo Crystal Drops.  Perfect for snow.

ODBD October Challenge

Two posts in one day!  Unheard of for me.  I am trying to catch up on making Christmas cards.  I am so far behind, and it will be here before you know it!  My card is for the October ODBD Challenge.  Their theme this month is a color challenge.  I used three of the colors and white. The snow was created with a white Prismacolor pencil and an SSS stencil.  I used an old stencil to create a swish with pencil, and added a few dimensional snowflakes with Nuvo Crystal Drops.  I also added a spritz of Heidi Swapp Color Shine over the entire card.   It is a simple card, but I like the way it turned out.

Paper:  HA card and scraps
Ink:  Versafine and Versamark
Stamps:  ODBD
Dies:  SSS
Other:  Prismacolor pencil, white embossing powder and Color Shine

Hello creative friends.  It has been too long since I posted.  I have a card today for the current SSS Wednesday Challenge.  Their theme this week is "Think Pink."  I used an MFT paper, Homespun Gingham, to add a touch of pink to my card.  Pink and orange are so fun together, and I love these MFT sweet Harvest Mice too.

Paper:  HA card, MFT, PTI and scraps
Ink:  Versafine
Stamps:  MFT and PTI greeting
Dies:  MFT coordinating dies, SSS and PTI
Other:  Prismacolor pencils and SSS sequins

Happy Harvest

Whew, down to the wire for the Lawnscaping challenge #137.  Their challenge is to use texture.
What a perfect theme for a fall inspired card.  I love this sweet Lawn Fawn set, Happy Harvest. How cute is this adorable scar-crow!  The sky is my usual HA cloud stamp and the hills are cut with Lawn Fawn, Stitched Hillside Borders.  The gold framed panel was cut from the same background card stock and embossed with a PTI texture plate.  This was such a fun scene to create!
Paper:  HA card, PTI, Neenah and Graphic 45
Ink:  Versafine, MFT and Mama Elephant
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn
Dies:  Lawn Fawn coordinating set, PTI, Stitched Hillside and Borders and Picket Fence

Be Thankful

I am thankful every day for all that God has given me.  Creativity, a home and family, food to eat and good friends.  What more do you need.  I have not posted in a while because I have been a bit busy with other parts of my life.  I recently had a wonderful visit from some of my favorite "out of town" friends, and it was delightful.  We spent a FUN day in Woodstock, NY.  My card today is for the SSS Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.  I am also entering my card in the current SSS Flickr Challenge #53.

I honestly love the change of seasons.  Each one is a gift of color and inspiration.  In this card, I made die cuts from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core.  I roughed them up with an emory board and then placed them back in the card.  The sentiment was embossed with one of my all time favorites Tsukineko Verdigris.

Paper :  HA card, Kraft Core and scraps
Ink:  Versamark and Versafine
Stamps:  SSS
Dies:  SSS
Other:  SSS sequins and verdigris embossing powder
