A Doll's Christmas

Just wanted to share my doll Christmas tree.  I used the Papertrey Ink die set, Tiny Town.  They are so much fun to make.  I tried to use colors of the homes in my neighborhood.  They are all made from cardstock and vellum.  I also added the sweet little PTI, Stitched Bird for additional ornaments.  They are made with sequins and felt.  The dolls are dressed in their pajamas waiting for Santa!

Holiday Greetings

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I just came back from a walk with my dog, Molly.  I had to walk off some of that turkey!  I have a card today for the LawnFawnatics Challenge #17.  This is their color inspiration,

and this is my card...

I had so much fun with this little scene.  I started with that adorable Lawn Fawn plaid paper, and used it as the color scheme to follow the inspiration.  The clouds and bottom area were blended with a mix of two Distress Oxide inks, Iced Spruce and Broken China.  I think the colors made a nice wintery look.  The houses and trees were colored with Copics and highlighted with Glossy Accents, Wink of Stella and Icicle Stickles.

Supplies:
Paper:  HA card, Lawn Fawn and Neenah
Ink:  Distress Oxide, MFT and Versafine Smokey Gray on the sentiment
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn
Dies:  Lawn Fawn
Other:  MFT stencil, Copic markers, Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents and Stickles

They are so much FUN to color! Often when you order from Lawn Fawn they give you lovely paper samples too.  These great striped papers are some of my favorites!

We Love Dawn

If you follow the Papertrey Ink Blog, you know that one of their designers, Dawn McVey, has been dealing with serious health issues, and PTI has organized a blog hop to show our support.
When I first started stamping and blogging over seven years ago, I did a search and found Dawn's blog.  It was just what I needed to inspire me. She had so much wonderful information about this craft and how to get started.  The rest is history.  I will always be grateful for her kind and thoughtful encouragement, and I am praying for her recovery.

I decided to go with a fall theme and try the new craft of sewing on cards.  I used an old die cut, Strip Stitch Die.  I don't think it was originally intended for this, but it turned out pretty good!  I finished my card with another die cut, Empossed Leaf.  No stamping today.

Supplies:
Paper:  PTI
Dies:  PTI
Other:  PTI felt, DMC floss and SSS sequins

Christmas Wishes

Good Morning creative friends!  I am continuing with Christmas cards.  I read this wonderful post on Jenifer McGuire's web site, and watched her fun video.  It gave me so much inspiration.  She is so creative, plus you get two for one cards!  I am also entering my cards in the current Simon Says Challenge, Anything Goes.  I made my own plaid background using the SSS Gingham Background.  I like the homespun look of the green ink on grey paper.  This was a fun one!

Ink:  Versamark and Versafine, Olympia Green
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn
