Sarah and Daniel

Just sharing a photo of my daughter, Sarah and my son, Daniel.  They were home together on Memorial Day weekend.  I was very happy to have them here along with a few of their friends.  Dan will be 27 this year, and Sarah will be 25.  They are, and will always be, the loves of my life.  I have been reading so many blog posts from young mothers that I just felt compelled to say how quickly time goes by.  Before you know it, your children leave kindergarten, go off to college, and then you can't wait to have them home again.

  1. Nancy, it's so nice to see a picture of your beautiful children! You sure can tell they're related! They both have the same warm smile! I know what you're feeling, although I still have my 15 year old here at home. They really do grow up way to fast! I find myself longing for the days when they were little. Those are the times we have to remind ourselves that we've done all we can, taught them how to live good, productive lives and then we have to trust them to do well. This is where lots of praying helps me too! Thanks for sharing this lovely picture! :)

  2. Amen to that! Where did the time go? It seems like a year or so ago that they were crawling around on the floor, and now it's their children doing that!
Thanks so much for sharing this picture, Nancy - they are gorgeous! Does Daniel have a little bit of curly hair, or was it just a hot day?

  3. Beautiful and handsome children you have! Thanks for the words of advice, sometimes I get caught up in the little things-or accidents-that my boys seem to produce that I forget someday that I will do anything to have those accidents occur just every once in a while.

It is nice to have a reminder, Molly graduated high school last Thursday and I don't know HOW that happened SO QUICKLY! BOO HOO. I hope you had lots of quality time when they were home visiting! 8. Hi Nancy, Great photo of Daniel and Sarah. I know what you mean about kids growing up and all of a sudden they have left home for new adventures. Time does have a way of slipping away. It seems like yesterday my girls were little and now they have children of their own. Glad that you were able to spend the holiday weekend with your children. Take care and God bless. Hugs to you.

  12. Thanks for such a great photo, your kids are so mature and beautifull. Oh, you expressed the truth about children so well. Time really goes by too quickly and the best way is to enjoy the time we are able to be with them.
