Operation Write Home, a charity that has supported heroes
with handmade cards since 2007, will be closing later this year. All cards need to be sent in by August 1st,
so I am helping to get the word out.
I have to admit, I am a little sad, only because donating
cards to our armed services has been such a rewarding experience for me. The theme for the hop is red, white and
blue. Who knewJ? One of the many requested type of cards from
our heroes are “Thank You” cards. I
just love the background stamp I used from Impression Obsession, Tapestry
2. It reminds me of bandana fabric. This is my first try at foiling. It is all because Jennifer McGuire showed so
many easy ways to do it, and now I am hooked! I used OWH sketch #153.

Hi Nancy- beautiful card- and curse that Jennifer McGuire- she makes us all spend so much money- LOL! Well- at least we are all helping the economy! I totally see the bandana fabric and love it with the gingham!
ReplyDeleteI loved the idea behind this Operation. We don't have anything like that in the Netherlands. Can imagine you are going to miss it! This card is lovely. Like the centrepiece! I would love to join your give away. However, shipping is so expensive to Europe, so don't put my name on your list 😉
ReplyDeleteNo problem, I am entering you anyway!!!
