A Sad Day

Yesterday, I had to put my older dachshund, Sissy to sleep.  She was not well, and I know it was the right thing to do.  Of course, I still have sweet Molly, but there is an emptiness in our home.  I thought Molly would be more upset, but it turns out that I am heartbroken.  I had to remove their picture from my blog because it made me too sad to see them.  Loosing a pet is so darn hard, when all they ever gave you was love.  I know that I will be back to crafting and feeling better in time, but for now it still hurts.

  1. Oh Nancy!! I'm so sorry for your loss!! It is definitely hard to lose a pet... they are such big parts of our lives. It has been almost a year since I had to say goodbye to my sweet kitty, Cleo, and I miss her so much. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

  2. Tears in my eyes as I write this, Nancy. I know what you mean--the world just doesn't seem right when we loose a family member, which our furbabies certainly are. Hold Molly close--I know she will help you through this. Warm hugs from Oregon for you both.
