The Davis Sisters

I have been working on this album since October. It is a Christmas gift for my Mother, and I finished in the nick of time! Many of the background pages were made using the technique that I learned from Claudine Hellmuth in her Magazine Alterology class. It started as a blank chipboard book I purchased from Michael's for 99 cents. I primed each page with several coats of gesso and sanded between each coat for a nice smooth surface. The photos and other elements were then glued in place with gel medium. I stamped some images throughout as well. The cover title was done on my computer and then printed on patterned paper. The book was then sealed with several coats of matte varnish.

My Mother was the oldest of four girls. The Davis Sisters. The inside pocket has a pullout sheet with their names and date of birth. Each page reflects a little something about their lives.
