Hello

Wow, it has been several months since I last posted on my blog. Unfortunately, I have been suffering from some pretty painful arthritis. Sometimes the discomfort gets in the way of my creativity.  I am planning on having a hip replacement before the summer is over.  Just another part of life and getting older.  I have also been very busy with home improvements in my new home.  I want to have the house comfortable and ready for visitors.

Like many New Yorkers, I have learned to enjoy the warmer weather and the chance to spend more time outdoors, especially after last winter!  I have been so fortunate to have a wonderful neighborhood young man that mows the lawn and helps with gardening.  He is only 15, but so professional.   That being said, I thought I would share some photos of my garden.

I have planted tomatoes, pepper, zucchini and green beans.  So far so good as long as I keep the rabbits away:)

These are my herbs; parsley, sage, thyme, basil and dill.  I also have tarragon and rosemary in other pots.  I love to cook, and fresh herbs are the best.

As you can see, I have been busy in spite of my health issues.  Hopefully my paper crafting mojo will return soon.

  1. Hi Nancy! So, so good to hear from you! I'm sorry to hear you've been in pain - sending hugs! Your veggies look fantastic! I plant a vegetable garden every year but not this summer - we've had an enormous amount of rain here, so my garden is lick thick, gooey, mucky mud! As you know, I can totally relate to the horrible winter we all had and taking advantage of these warmer days of summer. Now if we could just dry out for awhile. . . .

I think of you often, Nancy - hope you're feeling better and able to create soon - miss you! ♥♥♥
