Slow and Steady

Good morning my creative friends.  I am participating in the current on line class, Watercolor Intermediate Techniques.  I probably say this all the time, but I think this is my favorite class so far.  It is filled with tons of information.  As my title implies, I am absorbing so much.  Watercolor is a medium that I have wanted to improve upon, and by following these lessons it is feeling so much more natural.  I am like the tortoise, slow and steady.  Practicing and practicing.  I used just three colors of Cotman Water Colors and mixed them.

I have made many attempts.  I found that my first choice of paper did not suit my needs so I tried others.

Amazing what difference the choice of paper can make.  I finally have a result I am happy with.  I wasn't too sure if my painting was worthy of becoming a card, but I decided to give it a try.  I actually like the way it turned out.

My card is based on lessons from Day 1

Supplies:
Paper:  Strathmore cold press watercolor, and HA card base
Paint:  Cotman watercolor tubes
Stamps:  PTI
Dies:  SSS
